Sacred Body Awakening is a set of somatic practices entered into with three people, each one holding the other with great reverence, presence and tenderness.

This healing trinity stirs memories from the temple times on this planet, when the body and its sensuality were recognised as sacred, and treated respectfully as such.

This practice touches a truth held deep in our cellular memory - that we are whole, we are innocent and we are loved.

Not because of what we own, what we’ve achieved, or how we look, but as our birthright. Simply for being an expression of creation.

The gentle power of Sacred Body Awakening goes far beyond a technique. It’s about replacing awkwardness around intimacy and vulnerability with an authentic sense of love and trust.

The willingness to be seen, held, and opened - to ourselves, to another, and to life itself.

Developed by Anaiya Sophia (somatic practitioner, orator and minister), these practices connect us to our innate capacity for heart centred presence and the innocence of our bodies pleasure.

They remind us that our life-force offers potent energy for spiritual awakening, prayer, healing, transformation and creativity; not just for love-making and baby-making.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Sacred Body Awakening is a set of slow somatic practices using intuitive touch, and guided by attunement, awareness, consciousness, attention and intention.

Whilst it follows a linear structure, it is from the unknown, heart-felt and unrehearsed spaces that the gift of this transmission emerges.

This is the way of the sacred feminine.

Whilst it may seem that one person is receiving and two people are giving, the art of this practice moves us towards the cosmic dance where every body is both giving and receiving simultaneously.

How much skin contact you experience is always your choice. Many people enter this fully clothed. No intimate areas will be touched, and you’ll have the opportunity to name any other parts of your body that you wish to be left alone.
